The Rocky Mountain Workshop on How to Practice Evidence Based Health Care

5-Day Workshop on Teaching Evidence Based Practice

A Workshop for Teachers and Champions of Evidence Based Medicine

Purpose: This workshop is an intensive and interactive 4-day program designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to practice and teach evidence-based medicine. Sessions will feature a mix of small and large group discussions, interactive lectures, and case-based studies. Participants will spend 36 hours in active and assigned coursework. Attendees will be assigned dedicated small-group mentors to guide them in achieving personal goals and objectives.

Evidence Based Decision Making in Urology:

How to Find and Apply the Best Evidence in Caring for your Patients

Purpose: This course will teach the principles of EBM in the context of daily decision making in urology. Urology-relevant resources to search and retrieve the latest clinical research studies and provide the tools to systematically evaluate these studies for the quality of evidence they provide will be introduced. This course will be taught in a workshop-style, interactive format. The educational objective is to empower participants to independently search and appraise clinical research studies and retrieve high-quality evidence as it becomes available. This course is therefore of exceptional value to all urologists seeking to enhance their EBM skills, including those who are preparing for maintenance of certification (MOC) or a similar recertification examination.

How to Teach Evidence Based Clinical Practice

Purpose: The workshop is offered as a one-week intensive course. Participants will be learning in small groups led by clinical epidemiologists and practitioners from McMaster and other institutions. 3-Day Workshop on Evidence Based Diagnostics

Purpose: The workshop is open to clinicians and laboratory staff who are interested in how to improve their, and others, usage and interpretation of diagnostic tests. 5-Day CASP International Network Training Week

Second International Evidence Based Practice Workshop
